Dr Cobus Raath
Managing Director 
Cobus qualified as a veterinarian from Onderstepoort in 1985 and spent the first 11 years of his career as the head veterinarian in the Kruger National Park. In 1996 he registered his own private practice and soon thereafter, he founded Wildlife Pharmaceuticals. Driven by his passion and commitment to conservation and wildlife management, he manages his companies, invests in ongoing research and development and still finds the time to present zoo and exotic wildlife anaesthesia courses across the globe.
Michael Robbertze
Chief Operating Officer 
Michael has over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having owned and operated his own businesses. He joined the Wildlife Pharmaceuticals management team in 2019 to develop and implement strategies for global growth of the company. Michael also oversees the day to day operations of the company.
Justine Millard
Accounts 
Justine joined the Wildlife Pharmaceuticals team in 2016, bringing over 25 years of experience along with her. Always up for a challenge, she recently completed a course in Applied Financial Management through Wits Business School and is responsible for keeping company books and accounts in check.
Cornel Pretorius
Site Engineer 
Cornel obtained his degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Johannesburg in 2008. He has a background in design, installation, commissioning and maintenance engineering and joined the Wildlife Pharmaceuticals team in 2018. He is responsible for onsite planned preventative maintenance, qualifications, validations, compliance and health and safety.
Suretha Loots
Logistics Officer 
After matriculating, Suretha joined the South African police force where she worked until joining the Wildlife Pharmaceuticals team as the sales officer in 2006. She is one of the longest standing employees and has recently been promoted to Logistic Officer where she is responsible for procurement, stock control and managing the warehouse.
Noxolo Nkalitshana
QA Manager 
Noxi obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Total Quality Management from the Nelson Mandela University in 2004. She has extensive experience in microbiology, validation and quality management systems in the pharmaceutical industry. Noxi joined the Wildlife Pharmaceuticals team in 2016 and is responsible for ensuring cGMP and regulatory compliance and successful production of safe, effective and quality products.
Nonita Barnard
QC Manager 
Nita obtained her National Diploma in Nature Conservation in 2003 from Tshwane University of Technology. She has worked in the laboratory and QC environment for over 8 years and joined the Wildlife Pharmaceuticals team in 2015. Nita ensures strict quality control of our products, from raw materials to the final packed product.
Solomon Sibanyoni
Quality Unit Operator 
Solly has a background in administration and supervision of GMP cleaning and general stock taking activities. He joined the Wildlife Pharmaceuticals team in 2016 and forms an integral part of the QC team, ensuring compliance of the facility and products with GMP requirements.
Luther Masuku
Site Cleaner 
Luther went to school at Masitakhe High School in Matsulu and worked as a security guard before joining the Wildlife Pharmaceuticals team in 2015. He is responsible for site maintenance and cleaning functions.
Monique Lines (van der Walt)
Responsible Pharmacist 
Monique joined the pharmacy team in 2017 and ensures that our pharmacy activities and products comply with current regulations and best practices. She attended Rhodes University where she qualified as a pharmacist in 2007 and then went on to complete her Masters in Pharmacoeconomics in 2015.
Dr Liesel Laubscher (Williams)
Product Specialist 
Liesel has a degree in Animal Science with Conservation Ecology and a Masters in Animal Science from the University of Stellenbosch. She joined the pharmacy team in 2015 after completing her PhD and is responsible for the technical development, improvement and marketing of our products.
Cauline Olwage
Client Liaison Office 
Cauline matriculated in 2002 and worked as a receptionist in a medical practice before joining the pharmacy team in 2015. When you call, she is the ever-friendly voice on the other side of the phone, primarily responsible for local sales and customer service.
Maria Sengwayo
Distribution Operator 
After matriculating in 2009, Maria joined the pharmacy team as a cleaner. By 2015 she was promoted to Distribution Operator and now assists with stock control, picking and packing orders and getting parcels ready for distribution.
Tanja Slyper
Pharmacy Sales Executive
As the newest member of the team, Tanja is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our South African customers. Not only did she receive her National Higher Certificate in Nature Conservation in 2001, but Tanja also qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005. With her background in both small animal veterinary nursing and wildlife conservation, she is the perfect fit for the pharmacy. Local veterinarians can look forward to Tanja bringing her expertise and product knowledge right to their door step.
Dr Inus Janse van Rensburg
Head of KoeGer Science
Inus joined the KoeGer Science team in 2011 and is responsible for developing lead ideas into finished pharmaceutical products. He has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of the Free State, has completed two post-doctoral studies, one at the University of Lund, and has more than 10 years of experience in fine chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Leo Kirsten
API Expert
Leo obtained his Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Johannesburg in 2005 and has 14 years of laboratory experience, six of which have been in highly potent API manufacturing. He joined the KoeGer Science team in 2014 where he produces our HPAPI substances in accordance with cGMP standards.
Dr Rikus Peens
Quality Manager
Rikus started his career as a part-time mechanic and financial administrator before attending university, working as a laboratory assistant part time. Now with a PhD in Chemistry from the University of the Free State he oversees all quality related aspects at KoeGer Science.
Albert Roberson
Line Chemist II
Albert joined the KoeGer Science team in 2016 where he manages production of API starting material. He has a Masters of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria and previously worked in waste management and as a part-time lecturer with over 3 years’ hands on experience in chemical manufacturing.
Dr Chris Joubert
R&D Manager
Chris has a PhD in Chemistry which he obtained from the University of the Free State in 2017. In addition to his background in academics, he also has 12 years of laboratory experience. He joined the KoeGer Science team in 2018 where he develops routes of synthesis and implements chemical production.
Zakhele Ngwenya
Line Chemist Assistant
Zak worked in construction before joining the KoeGer Science team in 2010. He is responsible for cleaning the API facility and now has hands on experience in fine chemical manufacturing.
Simon Roberts
Responsible Pharmacist 
Simon graduated from Rhodes University in 1990 with a degree in pharmacy and has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality and supply chain management. He joined the Kwalisa Sterile Filling team in 2015 where he ensures that the facility, production and the final products comply with cGMP regulations and requirements.
Renier Heyman
Production Supervisor 
Renier graduated in 2009 from Tshwane University of Technology with a National Diploma in Information Technology: Business Applications and Design. He joined the Kwalisa Sterile Filling team in 2015 and supervises the production team.
Lydia Hlongwane
Production Operator 
Lydia matriculated in 2007 and worked in the banking sector performing administrative duties and assisting with customer service. She joined the Kwalisa Sterile Filling team in 2017 and assists with compounding, GMP cleaning and QC inspection.
